FAQ’s

A standard grooming session typically includes:

  • Bathing and shampooing

  • Brushing and detangling

  • Hair trimming or full haircut (if needed)

  • Nail clipping

  • Ear cleaning

  • Anal gland expression (upon request or if needed)
We also offer extras like teeth brushing or de-shedding treatments. Always ask what’s included in the package to be sure.

The frequency of grooming depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and activity level. Generally:

  • Long-haired breeds (like Shih Tzus or Golden Retrievers) may need brushing daily and full grooming every 4–6 weeks.

  • Short-haired breeds (like Beagles or Boxers) usually need less frequent grooming—brushing weekly and bathing every 6–8 weeks.

  • Dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors or have skin conditions may need more frequent care. Regular grooming helps keep your dog healthy and comfortable.

When boarding your dog, it’s best to bring:

  • Your dog’s food (to avoid digestive upset)

  • Any medications with clear instructions

  • Favorite toys or a blanket for comfort

  • Emergency contact information

  • Vaccination records (most facilities require up-to-date shots)

Check-in with me ahead of time— I may be able to provide bedding and toys, or you are welcome to bring your own.

During a drop-in visit, I will come to your home to care for your dog. Typical visits last 20–60 minutes and can include:

  • Feeding and refreshing water

  • Letting your dog out for a potty break

  • Playtime or a short walk

  • Administering medications (if needed)

  • Basic clean-up (accidents, food area, etc.)

If you need any exact services during the visit that your dog’s needs are depended on, please arrange with me prior to the visit.
